Br Josephus Garrity Sports Centre
The Br. Josephus Garrity Sports Centre opened its doors in 2012 and features a two basketball court sized sports stadium, fully equipped gymnasium, student change rooms, three general purpose classrooms, a large function room space, as well as the St Bede’s Canteen.
Mentone Beach
Stretching across 1.6 kilometres, Mentone Beach provides a scenic backdrop for St. Bede’s College. Physical Education, Outdoor Education and Geography classes make the most of the beautiful location to enhance outdoor classroom learning. Mentone Beach also hosts our House Cross Country and Mission Action Day fundraiser walks.
Multipurpose Area
The Multipurpose Area features four full size tennis courts, and one outdoor basketball court. The multipurpose area is also used for Physical Education activities including hockey, soccer and more.
Front Oval
The front oval at St Bede's is the home for a range of sporting activities from Cricket, Football, and Athletics.
Courtyard
The Junior Courtyard is a hive of student activity. Downball is a St Bede's favourite and played by a large number of students.
Br William Firman Technology Centre
The Br. William Firman Technology Centre is a specialist built facility for wood & metal technology creation and systems engineering. It features six workshop spaces with state of the art engineering equipment, one systems engineering workshop, and three general purpose classrooms upstairs.
Br Finian Allman Building
The Finian Allman Building or F Building is named after Br Finian Allman who was a long serving De La Salle Brother at St Bede's.
Br Peter Macintosh Hall
The original St Bede's College Hall is used by Physical Education students for a range of sporting activities and events.
Administration
Located at the end of the Dixon St car park, the Administration Centre welcomes all guests and visitors into the College.
Staff & Student Services Centre
First Aid and Student Services are located on the ground floor of the building, while the upper levels are house the staff common area and teaching staff’s desks and offices of the Staff & Student Services Centre.
Br Raphael Bassett Visual Arts & Computer Centre
The Br. Raphael Bassett Visual Arts & Computer Centre is a two story complex dedicated to the Visual Arts and ICT. The ground floor houses two computer labs, STEM learning classroom spaces as well as the IT and Audiovisual support staff offices. Upstairs in Visual Arts, there are four Art classrooms, two specialist Visual Communication laboratories, and a general purpose teaching space. The corridors showcase recent student’s artwork and ICT work in large viewing cabinets.
Pavillion and Student Wellbeing Centre
The Student Wellbeing Centre aids students with three onsite student Councillors. The Pavillion contains sporting change rooms, and the Pavillion steps are the main spectator area for events on the front oval.
Br Colman Molloy Resource Centre
The Br Colman Molloy Resource Centre gives students a quiet space to study, learn and develop their education. Library staff run the RAD reading programs that aim to encourage and promote reading.
Performing Arts Centre
Opened in 2011, the Performing Arts Centre is home to the Music, Drama and Media departments. The Performing Arts Centre also houses our 400 seat Performing Arts Auditorium, which hosts year level assemblies, guest speaker lectures, Music and Drama performance evenings, and the annual College Production. The building consists of two specialists computer laboratories, two drama classes, two music recording/rehearsal spaces, one large concert band rehearsal space, several music tuition and rehearsal spaces, and two general purpose classrooms.
Br Simon Stock Staunton Building
Solomon House senior students reside in the Br. Simon Stock Staunton Building in the heart of the College. It comprises of a senior study area and ten classrooms, with the ‘Beacon’ Learning Support Centre at the peak with its bayside views.
Middle Science Facilities
The Middle School Sciences facilities allow students to conduct a range of exciting science experiments in a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Chapel
The Chapel is the place for prayer, reflection and reception of the sacraments during Mass.
Brothers Residence
The Brothers’ residence is home to a community of De La Salle Brothers who have dedicated their lives to teaching and helping young people in Australia and overseas.
Fr Frank Martin Building
The Fr Frank Martin Building houses the College Lecture Theatre, Careers Centre, Senior Science Laboratories, La Salle House and Mc Cristal House.
Br Adrian Fitzgerald Building
The Br Adrian Fitzgerald Building is the home of Year 9 students and 2 Junior Science laboratories.
Miguel Centre
The Miguel building is the home of Year 7 and 8 students, the STEM centre and state of the art science rooms.
