The Resource Centres located at the Bentleigh East and Mentone campuses have a commitment to support all areas of the curriculum.
We provide environments conducive to independent learning and research, and promote engagement with reading and literature.

Mentone
- Monday to Thursday – 7:45am to 5:30pm
- Friday – 7:45am to 4:00pm
Bentleigh East
- Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm
Facilities
The Resource Centres provide:

- comfortable seating for reading
- class research areas
Students have access to printers, photocopiers, and scanners.

Items in the collection have been selected to support the curriculum, and to further the self-education and personal development of students and staff. A broad range of interests are catered for with:

User Services
Specialist staff develop and deliver programs to support St Bede’s College students, encouraging them to become discerning and independent users of information. These programs include:
- A reading programme – all students up to Year 9 take part in regular interactive sessions through their English classes with the aim of developing student engagement with reading
- Year 7 Orientation – a comprehensive introduction to the Resource Centre and its services
- Information Literacy / Research skills – individual and class tuition
- Literature promotion – including guest speakers and Author visits
Access
- Staff may book classes into the five learning spaces in the Resource Centre at Mentone
- Students may also use the library freely before and after school and at recess and lunchtime to complete homework, read or study
