CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2024
You’re invited to a special breakfast event to celebrate International Women’s Day.
All students and their families are welcome to join us on Tuesday 5 March as we recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the world.
Along with a light breakfast, you will be treated to an inspiring personal story of resilience, inclusion, diversity and understanding from our special guest speaker, Sumaya Harare.
Sumaya came to Australia at the age of 7 with her Somali family as a refugee. Settling in Brighton East, a predominantly Caucasian area, Sumaya attended a nearby primary school, having learned basic English from Sesame Street. Through her experiences and overcoming significant hurdles, Sumaya’s story is inspiration to us all.
