F1 in Schools Competition

Revving Up!

Best of luck to St Bede’s College’s very own Team Aiolos ahead of the F1 In Schools National Final! This team of Year 10 students is making its way to Adelaide this weekend for the competition. F1 in Schools Coordinator – and current F1 In Schools World Record holder – Peter Russell is thrilled for the team and their incredible opportunity.

“These students have been working tirelessly over the holidays and since the start of the school year to fundraise, gain sponsorship, and prepare all competition elements for submission. A colossal amount of work has been undertaken by Team Aiolos – Nick Shipham, Luca Sullivan, T’zario Lay, Matt Donnelly, and Roháhn Marie-Jeanne.”

F1 in Schools is the world’s largest STEM competition for students, challenging them to build the fastest miniature Formula 1 car. This challenge goes beyond engineering – it’s an entrepreneurial journey too! If successful, Team Aiolos could advance to the F1 in Schools World Finals later this year, coinciding with a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
