Year 9 and 10

Our Years 9 and 10 curriculum framework offers students a launch-pad into their Senior Years of secondary education. This is designed to support students on their journey to VCE or VCE-VM, with a diverse selection of subjects they may choose to study.

This program offers the very best preparation for every student for their future, providing individualised study options which enable each learner to find challenge, success and fulfilment, and best prepare them ahead of VCE and VCE-VM in Years 11 and 12.

Year 9 is a very exciting year level at St Bede’s College. Students will complete both Core and Elective studies and will have the opportunity to select what they wish to study from a wider range of subjects. Students also get to participate in a range of experiences for social and personal development via Camp, The Rite Journey, and other learning activities such as City Experience and Careers Education.

Year 10 provides multiple pathway options for each individual student to find their place in their studies, with one eye firmly on the post-compulsory year levels.  A combination of Core Studies and Electives provide further rigour to prepare students for Years 11 and 12. This is designed to ensure students have a range of academic skills and experiences to draw upon when making subject choices for their Senior Years at our College and beyond.
