All Year 10 Students along with at least one parent/carer are expected to attend the Pathways Evening.
This evening is designed to clarify the many options your son will face on entering post compulsory education. Topics for discussion will include subject selection for: VCE, VCAL and Vocational Education and Training and other course options. It is expected that at least one parent/carer from each family will attend with their son.
On this evening staff from each of the Learning Areas will be available to give subject advice and answer questions regarding their subject area. This will provide an ideal opportunity for you and your son to discuss specific subject information with staff who actually teach in that subject area. Also on hand will be representatives from some Victorian TAFEs and Universities to answer any questions regarding courses they offer.
All Year 10 students who wish to continue on to Year 11 at St Bede’s College in 2019 are required to attend the Senior Pathways Evening with at least one of their parents/carers on:

Students will be supported in their choices with some pathway planning during the remainder of this term and early next term. As always, we value the partnership of parents in this endeavour and encourage you to continue to have discussions with your son to help facilitate this process.
Some broad areas for discussion may include:
- school subjects they enjoy and show a particular aptitude for;
- personal interests that align with an area of the curriculum;
- short term or long term goals.
Some students may already have a future pathway in mind and we will be encouraging them to undertake research into requirements for ongoing training or further study.
Available in Palermo Street entrance along Naples Road and on the front oval via Dixon Street.
You will receive important information relevant to your son’s 2019 subject selection on this evening.
