On May 23 & 24 you are invited to “Moonlight and Magnolias”

Year 12 VCE Unit 3 Theatre Studies will be showcasing their scene study of ‘Moonlight and Magnolias,’ to the college community.  This production is a comical farce, that will make you laugh from start to finish!

1939 Hollywood is abuzz. Legendary producer David O Selznick has shut down production of the most highly anticipated film in Hollywood history, ‘Gone with the Wind.’ Selznick calls for hotshot director Victor Fleming from the set of ‘The Wizard to Oz’ to direct, and he pleads for legendary screenwriter, Ben Hecht to rewrite the script (none of whom have read the book).  Locked in a room for five days with nothing to eat but bananas and peanuts, the three men frantically craft one of the most beloved screenplays of all time.

DATES:       May 23 and 24
